Bob Bird for US Senate

A message from Bob Bird:

On behalf of my wife Rosemary; my family of sons and daughters-in-law Mario and Theresa, Quincy and Kimberly; and our daughter Elena, I wish to thank the 13,000 plus friends whose vote was entrusted to our campaign for the U.S. Senate. It is a very sacred trust that you gave to us, in this troubling and critical time in Alaska and American history. I can say with all my heart and soul that I have poured myself out for seven months for one purpose only: to return freedom to our state and its people.

This message will never die because God did not make man to be a slave; because God never gives up on man, despite his fallen nature; and that the fruits of this campaign must remain hidden until another day.

There is no substitute for freedom. I will never cease working for it, whether as a prolifer, a constitutionalist, an Alaskan, an American. I have been humbled by the average and unknown people, who became not-so-average and not-so-unknown to me as they helped; who gave their considerable talents, treasure and time to the same object that we shared.

I am grateful to Treasurer Wendy Dahl and Campaign advisor Bob Welzel; to Dexter and Lynette Clark and the Alaskan Independence Party, which supported me from the start and in whose ideals of liberty that I share; to the Constitution Party, which endorsed me way back in April; to Alaska Right to Life, in whose cause I have labored for decades; to webmasters Cathie Roney & Mark Chryson; to Ron Paul, Dick Randolph, Schaeffer Cox and Rick Sikma, men who have had, currently enjoy, or are hoping for a political office, who were unconcerned by the risks they took in endorsing me.

Then there are the people of the Campaign for Liberty, small in number, but big in heart. And to utter strangers in the Lower 48, who heard this message, seized upon the hope, and made sacrifices for love of their country through an office-seeker in far away Alaska.

I must also thank Chris Jenness of Jenness Graphic Design for making THE best campaign leaflet in the entire state, complimented by friend and foe alike; the same comments were made for my son Mario, whose incredible videos make my "talking head" comments into playful and pithy political discourses, now seen worldwide. All this talent resides or was home-grown in Nikiski!

There are too many to list, especially my friends and neighbors on the Kenai Peninsula, and naming some might make other feel overlooked. Forgive me for this. But know how small and humble I feel in accepting your support.

I will not quit this fight. I hope to see all of you again soon.

For freedom,
Bob Bird
